Hello! I’m Ronald, a qualified maths teacher (PGCE) from the UK. I now work as an online private maths tutor.
I have a rich experience of teaching in public and private schools, and have been working as an expert maths tutor for over 10 years – and online since 2019.
I studied Maths and Computer Science (BA University of Oxford), and I’ve also studied Bioinformatics (MSc Imperial College London) – that’s statistical genetics – so I have a good knowledge of how maths can be used in practical terms, as well as being able to teach programming and computer science concepts.
My work includes A-Level and GCSEs (iGCSEs too), University entrance exams such as the SAT for American Universities, and the MAT (Mathematical Aptitude Test) and STEP papers for Oxbridge and UCAS applications. I’m experienced with all modules of maths, including Further Maths A-Level (Pure, Statistics, Mechanics, Discrete).
I have experience tutoring the International Baccalaureate (IBDP and IBMYP), and I have tutored students at American Schools on the Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum.
I think it’s important, as a teacher, to always be a student. So, I’m currently learning to surf 🏄🏻 I can be a slow learner when it comes to physical skills 😳 so this might take some time. Hopefully this will help me relate even more to students who want a bit of extra help!
I’m always happy to have a chat to people who are interested in getting tutoring, online via Zoom. It’s a good idea to set up a first session to see if we work well together, before booking a weekly regular slot with me. Fill out the form below and I’ll be in touch at the earliest opportunity.
