About Ronald

Hello! I’m Ronald, a qualified maths teacher (PGCE) from the UK. I now live in The Hague in the Netherlands, where I work online as a private maths tutor.

I have a rich experience of teaching in public and private schools, and have been working as an expert maths tutor for over 10 years – and online since 2019.

I studied Maths and Computer Science (BA University of Oxford), and I’ve also studied Bioinformatics (MSc Imperial College London) – that’s statistical genetics – so I have a good knowledge of how maths can be used in practical terms, as well as being able to teach programming and computer science concepts.

My work includes A-Level and GCSEs (IGCSEs too), University entrance exams such as the SAT for American Universities, and the MAT (Mathematical Aptitude Test) and STEP papers for Oxbridge and UCAS applications.

I have experience tutoring the International Baccalaureate (IBDP and IBMYP), especially in the UK and the Netherlands, and I have tutored students at American Schools on the Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum.

I think it’s important, as a teacher, to always be a student. So, I’m currently learning to surf 🏄🏻 I can be a slow learner when it comes to physical skills 😳 so this might take some time. Hopefully this will help me relate even more to students who want a bit of extra help!

I’m always happy to have a chat to people who are interested in getting tutoring, online via Zoom, or in the Hague area. Drop me an e-mail maths@ronald.gl or WhatsApp +31682589013
